The Facility

Interior of the Center, including a hallway with bench seating. The center library can be seen through glass windows.

Thanks to the generous support of its donors, the Ackerman Center is currently housed in a 3,500 square-foot facility located in the Erik Jonsson Academic Center. These facilities, officially dedicated in 2011, offer students a unique environment in which they can work that includes a reading room, media center, and places for both group and quiet study.

The Barbara Rabin Library located within the Ackerman Center provides access to many of the core texts and videos from the Arnold A. Jaffe Holocaust Collection relating to the study of the Holocaust. Because this is a non-lending library, the materials are always available for the students to reference.

The center’s staff, research assistants, and faculty all office within the space. This allows the students to have greater access to our resources and professors, which is another of the many benefits that the Center offers to its students.
