Certificate in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies

This 15-credit-hour graduate certificate is awarded independently of the masters or PhD, and both degree- and nondegree-seeking students are eligible.

The certificate is designed for educators in public and private schools, universities, museums, community professionals, religious and lay leaders, those involved in interfaith dialogue, and adult learners taking classes for personal enrichment or credit.

Applicants are admitted each fall and spring semester, and the deadline to apply is the first day of class. Applicants should click the “Apply Now” button on this webpage. Once they create an account (or log in to an existing account), they should be able to start a new application, and choose the certificate and their desired application term.

Students with existing course credit as of the date of application for the Certificate in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies may apply their semester credit hours toward the above requirements after consultation with the graduate advisor.

More information about the certificate and its requirements can be found on the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology website and the Graduate Catalog.
