Annual Scholars’ Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches

Thanks to the generous support of the Barnett and Jaffe families, the Annual Scholars’ Conference (ASC) has two endowed lectures, the Mitchell L. and Miriam Lewis Barnett Lecture and the Michael and Elaine Jaffe Lecture. Both are open to the public and held annually in conjunction with the ASC.

Mitchell L. and Miriam Lewis Barnett Lecture

“But I Live: Three Stories of Child Survivors of the Holocaust”

Sunday, March 3 at 7 p.m.

This year’s Barnett Lecture is being presented by Dr. Charlotte Schallié, Professor of Germanic Studies and Chair of the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies at the University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada). 

Michael and Elaine Jaffe Lecture

“The Legacy of the Holocaust by Bullets in Contemporary Mass Crimes and Genocides”

Sunday, March 3 at 9 a.m.

This year’s Jaffe Lecture is being presented by Marco Gonzalez, director of Yahad-In Unum, who has worked alongside Father Patrick Desbois for more than twenty years collecting evidence and testimonies of the “Holocaust by Bullets.”
