Undergraduate Micro-Credential in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights
A micro-credential is a set of required courses related to a particular content area.
What is required?
The micro-certificate is awarded after the completion of two three-credit-hour courses.
One course will be offered online per semester as an 8-week asynchronous course. They will be marked specifically as micro-credential courses in the course notes.
HIST 2370: “The Holocaust” and HIST 3305: “War and Genocide in the 20th Century”
How do I apply?
The Ackerman Center is currently accepting applications for the UT System Strada Education Network grant to support undergraduate students seeking a Micro-credential in Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights. Recipients will receive funds to help support tuition costs for courses associated with credentialing in this area of study.

Is Funding Available?
To apply for the Micro-credential Scholarship, please included the following with your application at: UT System Strada Education Network Scholarship.
- Cover letter about yourself, your area(s) of study, and what you hope to achieve with your micro-credential.
- Transcript that shows your current GPA (an unofficial UTD transcript will be acceptable)
- A brief CV.
- Please make sure to combine all of your documentation into one pdf document saved as Micro-Cert Grant S25 with your last name at the top of your document
